Questions before you start?
The practical details around turnaround, scope, SEO, support and what happens before and after launch.
How long does a website take?
Typical turnaround once the scope is confirmed and all final content has been received:
- Website Design: 5-7 working days.
- Website Design + SEO: 7-10 working days.
- Website + Maintenance: 5-7 working days.
- Full Service: Priority scheduling.
When does the turnaround time begin?
Timing begins after the project scope is agreed and the text, images, login details and other content needed for the build have been supplied. Larger changes or delayed feedback can move the completion date.
Who will I be dealing with?
You deal directly with Laura throughout the project. SpiderWebsites is run by a solo web developer based in Merseyside, so there are no agency hand-offs.
Will I know exactly what is included before work starts?
Yes. The scope, package, expected deliverables and optional extras are confirmed first. Anything outside the agreed scope is discussed and quoted before extra work is carried out.
Will the website work properly on mobile?
Yes. Every package includes responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop, with final checks across common screen sizes before launch.
What does the SEO package include?
It includes keyword and search-intent research, on-page optimisation, structured data, sitemap and robots.txt setup, indexing support and local SEO configuration where relevant. SEO creates a stronger foundation, but no honest developer can guarantee a specific ranking. Standalone SEO services are also available.
Can you replace or redesign an existing website?
Yes. Existing content can be reviewed and reorganised into a cleaner structure, while outdated layouts, mobile issues and unclear enquiry routes can be rebuilt.
What do I need to provide?
Usually your business details, service information, preferred wording, logo and brand assets, photographs, contact details and examples of websites you like. The project brief helps collect all of this in one place.
What happens before the website goes live?
The final site is checked for responsive layout, forms, links, browser compatibility, performance and the technical setup included in your package. You approve the final result before launch.
Can I get support after launch?
Yes. Ongoing support is available through the maintenance and Full Service packages. The exact monthly scope and terms are confirmed before the service begins.
